Self Elf's

Wish You A Very Happy New Year.

All of us might have said these 7 words to so many people between yesterday and today countless times. Mode would have been face to face, Phone, SMS, E-mail, Tweets, Facebook wall status or likes and comments. Some of us might have even felt bad if any or many of our friends might have missed on us wishing the same.

Question comes in my mind; Have any one of us really wished to self at the nock of 12?  At Morning time? or right now? Before you assume it to be silly, selfish or psychic question let me go deep down. This question actually came in my mind when I was watching some documentary on big bang. Animated explosion of big bang drew my mind to school days where I came across sutra अहम् ब्रह्मास्मि. Aham Brahmasmi is a Sanskrit sutra whose English translation is "the core of my being is the ultimate reality, the root and ground of the universe, the source of all that exists."

Wishing A very Happy New Year to Self is just a metaphor. Whole of life we struggle to understand our existence into exterior world and never go deep inside. What makes us happy today is more of recognition by someone and less of realization of ourselves. And that’s where I wrote many of us might have felt bad about any or many of our friends not wishing us.

Like to Err, to Expect is also human but sticking it to them might not be a good idea. The more we know about self, less we have to worry about managing perceptions, as we will come across as what we are, truthful. Interestingly, in one of the discussion with my friend we concluded that “So called society cannot exist with the complete Truth”.
Similar thoughts area echoed in my favorite song”Saada Haq” from Rockstar;

Kyon Sach Ka Sabak Sikhaye? Jab Sach Sun Bhi Naa Paaye”

Let me hold comments on saada haq, system, society for some other day. For now,  let’s begin the journey of 2012 as journey of self-discovery specially considering so called “End of World” is near (This is really good metaphor of one’s transition to the new life which can be full of self-awareness). A journey where knowing self takes precedence over finding faults with others, coming out real supersedes managing perceptions and rising bar all the time for self than shortening lines of others.
